The trial AyaNova restricts editing of the sample users.
Users identify those that enter and/or view data in AyaNova.
You would create an AyaNova user account for every person that you wish to log into AyaNova and view and enter data.
When a new user is first created, the AyaNova Administrator form and grid display settings are set as initial defaults for when the user first logs in.
As the AyaNova database maintains identification of the AyaNova user that created a record, and the AyaNova user that last modified a record, you would want each person to have a separate AyaNova user account.
When an AyaNova user logs out – their screen and grid settings are saved for the next time they log in. For example, your technician may wish to view the Service Workorders grid columns in a specific order that would be different than what your shipper would use – each having a separate log in allows them to view how they had it the last time they logged in.
AyaNova Users are assigned to security groups – from which they get their access rights to various features in AyaNova.
All users require a Login name and Password that must be set before the User entry screen is saved and closed.
User entry screen fields:
Active This denotes whether this AyaNova user is able to log in, and if a Schedulable User, available in drop down selection lists.
First Name This is an identification field used in the global setting on how to display users in drop down selection lists.
Last Name This is an identification field used in the global setting on how to display users in drop down selection lists.
Initials Initials of the user may be used in various grids and screens.
Security Group The user is made a member of a security group which sets what rights to various features in AyaNova are available for this user
User Type Schedulable User Selection of Schedulable User as a type will affect license consumption – every user set as Active and as a Schedulable User requires an AyaNova license.
NonSchedulable User Select for an employee to view and enter data, but not be available in drop down selection fields.
Administrative User AyaNova comes with one default created Administrative User that can not be deleted or edited except for username login and password.
You should create at least one more account that is an Administrative User in the event you forget the main Administrative user login and password.
Default Warehouse When a new user is created, this will default to the Default warehouse (you can rename that warehouse, just can not delete it).
If the user regularly obtains their parts from a different warehouse than perhaps store stock, setting their default here will allow when they are entering data relating to parts, that the warehouse selected initially defaults to this set here – saves entry and selection time, as well as the user accidentally forgetting to select the correct warehouse which would affect inventory and may require Inventory Adjustments to address.
Default Language A default language is required. New users default to the default language set in Global Settings.
New installation of AyaNova will also install sample Deutsch (German), Español (Spanish) and Français (French) language locales
You can localize the fields using the Localization Designer to any language desired.
Pager Max Text State the maximum amount of text capable of the device used by this user to send if this user is notified via pager
Phone 1 This would be for informational purposes to display for contact.
Phone 2 This would be for informational purposes to display for contact.
Pager Address This would be the pager address used via the Notification Server if this user has set up notification subscriptions via email.
User Email Address This would be the email address used via the Notification Server if this user has set up notification subscriptions via email.
Employee Number This is an identification field used in the global setting on how to display users in drop down selection lists.
Is a subcontractor A user may be of a type Schedulable User but also be a subcontractor. Select the vendor they are.
Schedule Back Color When viewing the Schedule screen, this schedulable user’ workorder items will have this back color for easy viewing.
Dispatch Zone The dispatch zone that this schedulable user services which would be used via the Schedule screen to display users available or not for this dispatch zone.
Clear all users’ form customizations When selected, this will clear any changes a user has made to grids such as column placement, display or not display columns, and sizing. When the user next views a grid after logging in, it will have reverted back to the AyaNova Administrator's grid and form display defaults.
Set Login & Password Every AyaNova user requires a username and password.
Every AyaNova username must be unique.
Be aware that we can not recover any user’s username and password entered in the AyaNova database.
It is your responsibility to maintain documentation of any user’s username and password, including the AyaNova Administrator account if changed from the default of “manager” with password “letmein”.
This opens the sub-screen where the user login name and password can be set.
The previous username and password if set, does not display.
Enter in this users’ login name in the Login Name field
Enter in this users’ password they will use to login
Re-enter this users’ password they will use to login for confirmation
