This is the main calendar in the Schedule screen from which you can view information.
You can view a month, a week, a single day. You can view the calendar merged or each schedulable user separate. You can select specific schedulable users or groups of specific schedulable users to view.
The Schedule screen can display two different items for schedulable users - Schedule Markers as well as Workorder Items
A Schedule Marker is a quick way to make a notation for the selected schedulable user or users to help in scheduling, and is on the calendar with the symbol
For example, a schedulable user may have a doctor’s appointment between 2PM and 4PM on a certain date that you have agreed they have time off for. Therefore when you go to schedule that user for workorders, you will see this “reminder” so you do not schedule this user for any workorder items in that time period. Do note that a Schedule Marker does not prevent a workorder item to be scheduled at the same time.
A Workorder Item is a single problem item within a service workorder that a schedulable user can be scheduled for. A schedulable user may be scheduled for multiple workorder items in a single workorder.
If a workorder item has a Priority selected, the Priority flag (with its selected color) will denote a workorder item in the Schedule calendar view.
Depending on the view (whether Day, Week or Month) you will be able to see at a glance start time, service workorder #, client and other information.
You can also place your mouse over the workorder item to “pop up” a window providing even more information. You can edit what displays and does not display in this popup window by editing the settings in the Administration Global Settings. |
