Part Warehouses

Part Warehouses can be actual buildings where stock is kept, or warehouses could even be each scheduled users “stash” of parts on hand so that inventory out of the store is tracked. How you use part warehouses is up to you.

 

Specifying exactly where parts are located, is useful to maintain accurate stock counts if you have multiple locations where stock is located.

 

The Part Warehouse grid is accessed from the main menu SubGrids

AyaNova comes standard with a Default warehouse that can not be deleted, but the Default warehouse name and description can be edited to better reflect your warehouse.

 

For example, you may edit the name Default to Store Stock

Enter additional warehouses as needed. Additional warehouses can not be deleted once created. As soon the Part Warehouses grid is closed, all parts are undated with this warehouse. Therefore no part warehouses can be deleted once saved.

 

A schedulable user can have a default selected part warehouse by selecting within the Users entry screen within the Administration navigation pane. The benefits is that when a schedulable user is than entering information on the service performed for a service workorder, when entering parts, it will default to their default warehouse as a time saving step.
