Most grids include the ability to pin a column.
If a column is pinned, the pinned column becomes the first column and remains viewable no matter how far you scroll to the right.
This is useful if have a grid with a large number of columns, and you want to scroll sideways to view the info, but maintain which main info this is for.
For example, in Client grid, pin the Client column by clicking on the 
to set it to the pinned state as denoted by the symbol 
If you now scroll to the right, the Client column remains visible.
