**Important information regarding backing up if utilizing the default installed embedded Firebird database server**
Never make a backup of the AyaNova database file with the AyaNova program running when utilizing the default installation of AyaNova that uses the embedded Firebird server.
You must have the AyaNova program closed, and no access occurring on the database.
If your situation is such that the Firebird database must be accessed and running on a continuous basis, you must move to at minimum the network Firebird database server configuration. Refer to the installation information in this Technical section for use with the network Firebird server.
The only file that needs to be backed up when using the default AyaNova installation is the AYANOVA.FDB database file.
And this is repeated again – do not access the database (i.e. do not run the AyaNova program, or access the database directly) when the backup is being performed.
If your situation is such that the Firebird database must be accessed and running on a continuous basis, you must move to at minimum the network Firebird database server configuration. Refer to the installation information in this Technical section for use with the network Firebird server.
