Secure
Uses Microsoft v5 IIS server and above.

username and password.
How it works
The remote access web server uses IIS 5.0+ as a "bridge" to provide pre-formatted web
pages to the remote user's web browser transferring data called from
the AyaNova database to display on the users web page, and receiving
data entered by the user via their web page.
The remote user
just needs a web browser, an Internet connection, the IP address and
port number for the remote access web server, and an AyaNova remote username and
password.
When the IP
address and port number of the remote access web
server is entered as a URL in
the remote user's web browser, it brings up the remote
access web server login screen
via a web page.
If the remote user
is a client, it will display client related web pages such as to
request service, or to view that clients service workorders.
If the remote user
is an AyaNova user, it will display user related web pages that the
AyaNova administrator has given the remote user access to - such as
Scheduled List grid and ability to create and update service
workorders. Additional access to other features can be provided.

Remote access web interface user requirements:
Internet connection:
• The faster the Internet connection the
faster the response of data displaying on your web browser.
Compatible web browsers:
• Internet Explorer 6.0.2800 (do note
that IE 6 will be much slower than any other browser
listed here) • Internet Explorer 7
• Mozilla FireFox 2 • Opera 9
If your web browser is not listed here, it just means we haven't
tested with it, nor have coded for the specific requirements
your web browser may need. Web browsers not listed here may
encounter issues displaying certain features, such as the
Schedule screen, etc.
URL to access the WBI login page:
• The AyaNova Administrator will need to provide this to the
remote user.
Login username and password:
• Whether the remote user is an AyaNova user or an AyaNova
client, the AyaNova Administrator will need to set up the
user/client via User entry screen
Remote access web interface server requirements:
Operating system requirements:
• Windows 2000 • Windows XP • Windows 2003
• Windows Vista
Additional software:
• IIS 5 or higher • Microsoft.NET
Framework 2 or higher (and all latest Microsoft recommended service
patches)
Minimum Hardware:
• As with the AyaNova database server, the higher the hardware
specifications, the better the performance. If you are
encountering slow response, you will want to upgrade your
hardware. Minimum requirements would be that required for an IIS
server.
• The AyaNova WBI server files takes approximately 40MB of hard
drive space • Static internal IP address on the IIS server
• Full time connection to the Internet • Static Internet IP address for your Internet router
AyaNova related:
• WBI is not a replacement for the AyaNova program,
WBI is an extension of the AyaNova program.
• For initial setup and configuration, the latest
version of AyaNova 3 must be installed and
operational on IIS server (check the AyaNova Support
Forum for the latest version update instructions)
• WBI needs to access a database server due to the
nature of IIS - you can not use WBI with a stand-alone
default installation of AyaNova. Please refer to the
AyaNova v3 Manual section on Additional Installation &
Configuration to configure AyaNova for one of the
network configurations.
Licensing
 | Only one AyaNova optional add-on WBI v3 license is needed
per database regardless of the number of remote users and/or
clients that will access |
