Stand-alone default AyaNova installation

It is always recommend to read through all instructions first before proceeding.

 

 

The stand-alone default installation would be used by those with either of the following:

Only one instance of the AyaNova program will be run
And both the program and database are installed to the same computer
No additional installation or configuration is needed.
The stand-alone default installation uses what is know as the embedded Firebird server for stand-alone use
Single user firebird embedded

 

Refer to Network Configuration for details on configuring AyaNova for network use.

 

 

 

It is recommended to first use this basic stand-alone default installation for ease of install and use when first testing AyaNova.

 

 

1. AyaNova requires Microsoft .NET Framework 2 (or higher) and applicable service patches on each computer.

 

Check that .NET 2 or higher is installed by opening Control Panel -> Add/remove Programs -> scroll to determine if Microsoft .NET Framework 2 is installed
Refer to the Microsoft downloads web page http://www.microsoft.com/downloads if you do not already have this installed. If not displayed under Popular Downloads, enter Microsoft .NET Framework 2 in the Search for a Download section

Be sure computer has been rebooted if just installed

 

2. Log into the computer as you normally do

 

Do not perform any installation of AyaNova via remote access

 

3. Ensure no other programs are running.

 

4. Download the AyaNova v4 installation file AyaNovaSetup.exe from the AyaNova web site to a temporary folder on your hard drive

 

5. Double-click the AyaNovaSetup.exe file to begin the installation and click Next

6. Review and agree to the license agreement, and click Next

7. The default option is to install AyaNova - single computer installation with sample trial database. Click Next

8. The installation shows additional AyaNova optional products you may be interested in trying out or using.

Refer to the QBI (QuickBooks interface) Help manual for details on requirements (QBFC5.0, QuickBooks program also installed to the local hard drive, QuickBooks version compatibility etc) installation, and use.

Refer to the PTI (Peachtree interface) Help manual for details on requirements (Peachtree program also installed to local hard drive, Peachtree version compatibility) installation and use.

NOTE: This Generator service is only installed for a network AyaNova configuration. The stand-alone default AyaNova installation does not require this, and you may also encounter an issue if you try to run AyaNova in stand-alone more with the network Event Generator running. This installs client, part and unit import/export utilities. See also: Import Utilities - Client, Parts and Units This also installs the ToMSSQL utility for converting the AyaNova database for use with SQL. See also: Network SQL Express configuration

NOTE: The AyaNova Data Portal is only installed for a network AyaNova configuration. You may also encounter an issue if you try to run AyaNova in stand-alone more with the AyaNova Data Portal running on your server. See also: What is the AyaNova Data Portal?

9. The installation displays details on what it will now install. Select Next

10. The installation is now complete.

11. You can now start the AyaNova program which connect to the installed sample trial database

 

Run AyaNova from the desktop icon

NOTE: The AyaNova program files are installed to C:\Program Files\Ground Zero Tech-Works Inc\AyaNova folder

 

NOTE: The AyaNova database file AYANOVA.FDB is installed to %AllUsersProfile%\AyaNovaData folder

 

On a Vista computer, %AllUsersProfile% is usually C:\ProgramData\
On 2000 or XP or 2003 computer, %AllUsersProfile% is usually C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data
