AyaNova 4 has many new features for ease of use and improved productivity

 

 

The following are major improvements of existing AyaNova 3 features in AyaNova 4:

 

Performance

Many changes behind the scenes in most business objects and list objects for better performance and efficiency.  This results in many areas of the program responding faster and more efficiently to updates.

 

Auto refresh

All main grids and schedule form now automatically refresh themselves every 5 minutes.  This ensures users are always presented with an up to date picture of the AyaNova database and schedule.

 

Compatibility  with Firebird 2:

AyaNova 4 has been redesigned to take advantage of the new Firebird 2.0 for better performance

 

Configuration and Installation:

AyaNova 4 has been redesigned with a simplified single configuration file shared by all utilities and add-on programs (except for WBI). This simplifies future updates and network configuration
Simplified installer - AyaNova and most optional add-on's and utilities are now integrated in a single easy to use setup allowing for fast installation and easy maintenance updating.

 

Inventory:

AyaNova 4 Part Inventory has been improved to decrease database size and improve performance, particularly for users with multiple warehouses.

 

Schedule:

Schedule Screen date navigation has been simplified and improved to allow users to more quickly and easily view the scheduled workorder items within the date range they want to see.
New print options:  Schedule screen now has two print menu options - an improved graphical reporting capability and a new feature that allows printing standard workorder reports directly from the Schedule screen. This will save the user time in accessing and printing the relevant workorder reports quickly and easily.
Show Open/Closed Workorders menu option with open workorders only showing by default increases the loading speed of your Schedule screen, as well you can see at a glance what workorders still are open. And you can also select to show both Open and Closed.
Unassigned technician is now always visible. This makes it very easy to see at a glance workorders items not assigned to a specific technician.

 

Security rights

Security group user rights have been simplified making it easier to setup and configure user access rights.

 

Contact:

Simplified contact entry fields in the Client, Vendor and Head Office entry screen for faster data entry; new contact fields are now available in workorder detailed reports. Additional contact information is now in the Other Contacts text field (with General Notes, Schedulable User Notes, and Pop-Up Notes)

 

Workorder:

New - open multiple workorder entry screens at the same time. This improves productivity in situations where users need to work on more than one workorder at the same time (i.e. dispatchers, etc)
The travel, labor and scheduled user quantity fields are all filled in automatically on a change of start or stop time.  This saves the user time and makes workorder entry faster and more accurate.
Workorder deletion warning message has been re-worded to lessen the chance of accidental deletion.

 

Contract:

Contract Expiry Date is required to be set within the Client entry screen if you wish the Contract settings for that client to be enforced in a workorder (discount, contract rates). This coincides with the setting that if the contract has expired for the client, the Contract settings are no longer enforced.

 

 

 

New features:

 

Most Recently Used list:

Quick access to the most recently opened objects. This saves the user time by making it very easy to go back to something they were just working on.

 

Selective printing from grids:

In addition to the existing filter feature, users can now select individual records in grids for printing.  This will save time and paper.

 

Inventory:

Part Inventory grid now displays Retail and Cost columns. Inventory value type reports are now a snap.

 

Schedule Screen:

Completely new Schedule screen with numerous enhancements:
Standard workorder reports can now be printed directly from the Schedule screen
New calendar printing ability such as ability to specify what hours of the day is printed, what specific schedulable users are printed, and other options
Selective printing - user can select individual or multiple workorder items and print them using the same workorder reports from the workorder grids.  This will make it even easier for technicians to check their schedule and print out dispatch reports.
New timeline view - in addition to the "Outlook style" with its vertical time line, includes the ability to view the day in horizontal time line similar to the old AyaNova CE schedule. This feature is particularly useful for dispatching.
Show only Open workorder items on the Schedule Screen or show both Open and Closed workorder items. This makes the Schedule load faster and simplifies the amount of information the user needs to look at.
Auto-tabs that will bring you to the next or previous scheduled item for that schedulable user if nothing showing in the date range displayed. No more looking for the next or previous scheduled item, this feature does it in one click automatically.
View is now "sticky" - AyaNova will now maintain the current view being used both when changing Scheduled User Group and between AyaNova sessions, and remembers the last Scheduled User Group selected.

 

 

List All Workorders for an object:

Now view all workorders for clients and units with one click.

 

Workorder:

New enhanced multi-line summary field in workorder items grid - makes entry faster and easier.
Global Settings now includes feature to set the Default Closed Workorder Status. This ensures Closed workorders are always set to the status desired.
Detailed workorder report templates now include phone fields plus email address, unit purchase date, labor and travel rate cost, labor and travel rate account number. This allows for greater reporting flexibility.

Follow up feature (also available in Quote, PM, Client, Unit and Contract entry screen). This allows users to easily set reminders for specific workorders or other objects.
Banked Service tool tip displays in Labor grid if client has Banked Service so that you can see at a glance what the balance is at the time the workorder was first opened, so you know whether there is enough balance to apply your Labor or not.
Unit display in addition to showing warranty status, now also displays Last Closed WO#, Last Closed WO Service Date, Purchase Date:, Purchased From and Receipt Number. This saves time and puts critical information in front of the user exactly when they need it.
When creating unit from a workorder, the client will be pre-selected for you as a time saving feature.

Unit

Unit grid (and its report templates) now also display the columns Purchased From, Description, Unit Model Category, Unit Model Vendor, and Receipt Number. This allows for greater reporting flexibility.
Two additional display modes for a unit added to Global Settings - "Model Number, Model Name, Serial" and "Model Name, Model Number, Serial".

 

Client:

New fields for entering phone numbers and email address. Additional contact information is now in the Other Contacts text field (with General Notes, Schedulable User Notes, and Pop-Up Notes)

 

 

Templates:

New workorder template feature - service workorders, quotes and preventive maintenance can now be created from a pre-filled template. This is a huge time-saving feature for automatically pre-entering information.
User can select a default service workorder template for a client, technician or global. This means default templates will be automatically pre-selected for users exactly where and when appropriate. Note users can still use another template or no template.

 

Global Settings:

New settings for default template, Closed Workorder Status, new unit display formats.

 

Navigation pane docking

Pin, dock or auto-hide the navigation pane.  When unpinned it will slide out as required and slide back when not required freeing up screen space for the main grids.

 

Report Designer

New improved report designer - includes ability to move bands on the design panel and more.
