On initial installation, both the AyaNova program and the database are installed to the local hard drive - this is the stand-alone default installation

AyaNova also has the ability to use AyaNova in a network environment
| • | AyaNova can be configured for network use using either the network Firebird Server, SQL Express and SQL Server. AyaNova is not compatible with MySQL |
| • | The image below shows an example of a AyaNova networked - local networked computers run the AyaNova program connecting to the networked AyaNova database on the server. |

| • | For network installation, we provide specific steps depending on which database server you wish to use |
| • | Once you determine which database server you want to use, you follow the specific steps for that database server |
| • | The specific steps you follow in the link above go through installing the AyaNova program to the "server", configuring the database server, set up of the AyaNova database for network use with that database server, editing of the AyaNova configuration file on the server so that it accesses the networked AyaNova database, and then exactly how you have your networked computers set up to access AyaNova too |
